The Windows Explorer Ribbon UI stands amongst one of the hundreds of newly introduced features with Microsoft’s latest version of Windows operating system. The Ribbon UI comes up as the replacement of the Explorer toolbar and brings you a better access to all Windows Explorer features and settings
The best and worth appreciating thing about the Ribbon UI is that it’s minimized by default and one has the option to access almost all Windows Explorer settings and features without having to undergo the trouble of opening Folder Options dialog. One has the option to minimize or maximize the Ribbon by simply clicking the down arrow that shows up on the upper-right of the window or by just pressing Ctrl + F1 hotkey.

Ribbon Disabler is a free utility that comes from the maker of Personalization Panel for Windows 7, User Picture Tuner, andWindows 7 Home Basic Color Changer.
It allows you to enable the Toolbar and disable the Ribbon with simply a click. You are required to download, run the tool with admin rights, and then click Enable Windows Explorer Toolbar. Once it’s completed, you would be asked to log off and log on in order to apply the change.
